  BIOGRAPHY
  1948 Born in Bremen, Germany.
  1967-68 Attends the Academy of Fine Arts, Stuttgart, Germany.
Studies painting with K.R.H. Sonderborg.
  1969-72 Studies music (flute, piano, composition) at the Academy of Music in Hamburg, Germany and at the Jazz Academy of Graz, Austria.
  1972-74 Studies music at the Conservatory of Zurich and Fine Artst with Serge Stauffer at the Freie Kunstschule of Zurich, Switzerland.
  1974-76 Moves to Milan, Italy. Studies composition with Franco Donatoni and electronic music at the Conservatory of Milan. Graduates with Diploma.
  1974-80 Solo Performances and concerts in Europe and the United States.
Collaboration with the Italian artist Fabrizio Plessi (video concerts - video installations).
    1980 First sound installations and sound sculptures.
    1980-81 Studies electronics at the Technical Institute of Milan.
    1982 Participates in the Venice Biennale.
    1986 Starts to work with ultraviolet light.
    1987 Moves to Berlin.
Participates in documenta 8, Kassel, Germany.
    1988 Award of the German Industrial Association (BDI).
Residency grant at the Barkenhoff, Worpswede, Germany.
    1989 Guest lecturer at the Jan van Eyck Academy,
Maastricht, The Netherlands
    1990 Project grant from the Kunstfonds e.V, Bonn.
    1990-91 Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts, Münster, Germany.

First installations with solar energy.
